Losing the Baby Fat

Before and After (So Far) - Losing the Baby Fat

Before and After (So Far) - Losing the Baby Fat

I lost 50 lbs. about 3 years ago, by going to the gym regularly and using Sparkpeople,(a free online food diary. My losing the baby fat story :

I got married in August 2007 and right away started trying to get pregnant, 3 months later I found out we were pregnant. I gained at least 50 Lbs. with my pregnancy but thought, Oh well I am pregnant. After I had my daughter in August 2008, I thought the weight would just drop off. That didnt happen, I lost about 15 Lbs. then that was it. I was so depressed about the way i looked, I was walking for an hour or two each day and still I was big.

Finally in October 2008 I had had enough, I decided I needed to go back onto Sparkpeople and track my food intake and get serious about working out. I started with a Cardio workout called "Turbo Jam", I loved it, very high energy. I felt nauseous the first few workouts but my endurance gradually increased.

I lost around 25 or so pounds by Christmas but wanted more, so I ordered "Chalene Extreme" another home workout video, (it has 3 days weights then 2 days cardio) this seemed like the change I needed. So I finally recieved my videos in February after a LONG wait!! I started the workouts on February 23rd 2009, there are 3 months, Burn, Push and Lean then finally Lean for life, while doing these workouts I also run and walk on the treadmill.

I am currently on Lean for Life and the results have been great so far, I still have some work but I am pleased with all my hard work so far. I had lots of days where i felt like I was wasting my time working out and watching what I ate, I thought I would never lose it. I had many days that I ate way over on my Calories, I had days that I did not want to work out, but I never missed a workout except when I was sick one day and I had a sore back another. I never let slip ups on my eating make me give up, it instead made me more consious of what I ate the next few days.

I had a point where I felt huge, about 2 months ago so I posted up "Fat" pictures of myself on junk food and "skinny" pictures on my treadmill etc. I also make an 8X10 picture of myself where I was thin and stuck "fat" pictures on it, about 10 or so, enough so i would remove one picture for every pound and then be left with the "skinny" picture.

Lots of work but worth all the sweat and tears!! (In my picture, the left was taken Oct. 2008 and the right was taken June 2009)

Consequences of Obesity

(New Hampshire)

Consequences of obesity

Consequences of obesity

I am a dedicated physical fitness expert and it gives me great satisfaction to see my clients achieve their weight loss goals. Contributing this piece of article on the consequences of obesity to this site can probably help many people out there, who are really trying their best to lose weight, but simply see an end to it without really achieving weight loss.

You see, obesity and achieving weight loss is fast becoming a national problem. Many Americans have to deal with all sorts of chronic diseases, like hypertension and diabetes and most often the root cause of their problems is excessive weight.

Consequences of Obesity - What to be Aware of

The body structure and the internal organs that come along with it can only carry so much pressure. Keeping our internal organs constantly squeezed in by body fats that constrict the arteries and blood vessels, is one of the reasons why organs like the heart, kidneys, liver, and lungs start to fail.

Imagine all of these organs housed in a single body structure that will slowly fill up with masses of body fats, not only floating inside your body but also acting like cushions that smother passageways, veins, and arteries. You cannot expect blood traffic to flow easily through them because they are squeezed tight between fats. Not only that, your blood tends to be less viscose or less fluid, hence the pressure that the heart releases only gets stuck somewhere because blood takes too long to reach their proper destinations. In time, as this condition occurs, you will soon develop the dreaded hypertension, because there are certain pressure points that cause your blood pressure level to rise.

Notice how you tend to breathe with a wheezing sound? Even your airways find it hard to release the air you exhale. Your insulin level will also start to rise because the pancreas automatically detects high sugar levels, and is triggered to work overtime. It is trying hard to enable the cells to absorb all sugar and carbohydrate contents detected in the body. Now even your kidney will start to fail because it has to contend with both high levels of insulin and the very little blood that circulate in the kidney area.

Soon your heart will also show signals of the punishment it gets. All its efforts of pumping out blood meet nothing but resistance and its really straining the arterials walls. It tends to beat faster, as it tries to cope up but also feels weak as valves are slowly feeling the wear and tear of constant pressure battering its walls.

Now let us take your external implements. Which of your body part gets the most punishment for the excessive weight you carry each day? Your legs of course, so by this time those legs of yours should already be as massive as a tree trunk to carry more than 200 pounds everyday. In worst cases, it can be 300 pounds.

One way I motivate some people to keep fit is by giving them the actual experience of carrying several pounds of weight. We go to a grocery and ask them not to push a cart for whatever stuff we have to get. I point to a case of pure butter weighing about 50 pounds each and ask each one of them to carry a load. After that, they can pick any thing they like to add to their load. Naturally, none of them had the energy to go around because the 50-pound butter was already eliciting all sorts of complaints. Strained arms, strained legs, strained backs, and all they want to do is to get over whatever task was to be done. So I told them to just put everything back because we could not continue with the exercises with all the complaints going around.

Once we got back to the center, I explained just what happened. I told them that for a moment they had the actual experience of being overweight. That is how overweight people feel, and then multiply it by the number of days that they are overweight and constantly adding more weight. They move slow and almost too tired even by just walking with their weight; hence, they tend to be sedentary. They want to move around less, without even thinking that it becomes even more detrimental to their health. They pretend to laugh and feel happy so they can justify the amount of food they gorge. In fact, their life is becoming drearier because the clothes that they wear are becoming drab and shapeless.

They attract attention not because they are pleasingly attractive but because people cannot believe that someone can get so big. Then they start feeling hurt when people seem too heartless. They did it to themselves, remember.

I actually feel for these people. Maybe if I had been able to talk to them sooner, they would not have grown so big. I could have given them the motivation to stay fit. That is why I am taking advantage of this site and this free page, to reach out to people, that for their sake and well-being, stay fit and healthy.

Right Weight for Height

by Regina Grant, Fitness Instructor
(Los Angeles)

Right weight for your height

Right weight for your height

Keeping fit and keeping healthy means keeping the right weight for your height. Not a few would ask however, What then is the right weight for my height?

Even at puberty, the body will start experiencing physical changes which if one is not careful, can store either body fats or body mass which can either spurt or stunt height achievement. According to experts an average adolescent can grow as much as 10 inches in his or her puberty stage, before the final adult height is achieved.

According to health experts, determining what the right weight for your height is, should involve a computation of your body mass index or BMI. In the case of teenagers, it is not enough that you aim to gain or lose weight but also to place your weight mass in the proper places. Doctors who are tasked to monitor the weight gain of an adolescent will follow a formula for computing the body mass index, in order to determine by estimates how much body fat is included in a persons weight and height.

This information is very important to properly guide an individual whether the weight goal he has in mind is of the right substance or is appropriate for his height and age. So how then can one determine the right weight and height for ones age ?

Determining the Right Weight for Height Using BMI Calculator

Find an automatic weight and height calculator in the Internet. Simply input your height, age, and gender and the next step will reveal your ideal weight. However, you should take into consideration that achieving the ideal weight is not enough, because you have to deal with the issue of having the right amount of fat or muscle mass.

Fitness experts, of the American Council on Exercise, recommend based on their researches that a fit male should have 14 to 17 percent body fat, while fit females can have as much as 21 to 24 percent body fat. Male athletes on the other hand are expected to have only 6 to 13 percent body fat while female athletes should have 14 to 20 percent body fat.

Weight loss or weight gain, is a matter of developing the right eating habits at the age of puberty or adolescence. For older people, it is a matter of changing the lifestyles by replacing poor habits with habits that result to healthier outcomes. Diets or regimens observed to achieve weight loss are often only temporary. Hence, if permanence of weight goal is desired, a person should do away with temporary eating restrictions. Here are some areas which you should focus on, in order to achieve the right weight for your height and age:

Idle Time

Which is the time you spend inactive or not exerting any physical effort. In most adolescents, they are the moments spent on hours playing with video games, online chatting, gaming or surfing or hours spent engaged in phone conversations or text messaging. For older people, they may be the time spent watching TV, or lounging while reading a book and listening to good music which will all eventually lead to sleeping away most of the hours during the day. According to fitness experts, recreational or idle time or the time spent during the day not engaged in any physical activity should be limited to only two hours.

Otherwise, the calories you absorbed as a regular part of your meal will only be stored as unburned fat cells. If you want to achieve more mass and less fat, aim to burn more calories.

Exercise

This is the best way to burn calories and to build muscles. Exercise need not be fancy but simply means having more activities during the day. Walking for whatever reasons even by just doing house chores, which include climbing up and down the stairs, or walking the dog, gardening, mowing the lawn, walking or cycling your way to school, grocery stores or short distance destinations and other similar activities are considered as physical exertions or exercises. Not having any of these and having plenty of lounging time is tantamount to living a sedentary lifestyle often considered as unhealthy.

Food Intakes

Eat foods rich in fiber and those which tend to fill you up instead of eating high calorie foods. Fibers pass the stomach in order to break down its nutrients and will bind wastes and unnecessary products of metabolism. Foods rich in sugar simply dissolve and are carried outright in the blood stream to form and be stored as fat cells to provide fuel during physical exertion. The absence of exercises or physical activities will cause these fat cells to accumulate within the body.

Breakfast

Never skip breakfast being the first meal of the day. Skipping breakfast often result to eating more and loading more calories. This is one poor eating habit that should never be adopted. .

Having the right weight for the right height and age is a matter of having the proper lifestyle. It is a matter of utilizing the food as a means of sustaining the body to do physical work, hence less fat is stored and more muscle mass developed.

Low Carb Diet Tip

by Lee Vincent Cuttler - Jr. Financial Analyst
(Toronto, Canada)

Low Carb Diet

Low Carb Diet

I was 330 pounds and 6 feet tall before I went into a low carb diet. Now that I am 250 pounds and aiming even for at least 220, I want to share with you on how I successfully lost weigh naturally and almost cost free.

First things first, accept the fact that you have to lose weight. Stop making excuses for not eating right.

When I graduated from college, I envisioned all sorts of career opportunities. However, as all hopefuls experienced, finding a formal job was not really that easy. I was sort of feeling down in the dumps because I felt I wasted a whole lot of time with my college studies but could not get a job related to what I took up. I was aiming for something like a financial analyst but nobody seemed to believe I can do it.

It was not until this pretty receptionist at one of the offices gave me some unsolicited advice. We went down on the same elevator and she saw how forlorn I looked for not even making it through the first interview. She told me that competition was really tough and the ones who could easily pass through the next stages were those who did not look overweight. She said her boss had this notion that overweight people sleep on their jobs. So what she said hit me, which I knew should have hit me before.

You see, I never really admitted the fact that I was overweight. I guess I merely fooled myself that I preferred baggy clothes. Since I was 6 ft and big boned, I just assumed my weight had something to do with the bone and height. To cut the story short, I paid my doctor a visit and asked him for some weight loss advice and he recommended low carb diet. Here are some tips I can share:

Low Carb Diet Tips

1. Know the right kinds of carbohydrate foods.

2. Do not go "low-carb" too quickly.

3. Keep the vegetables and fruits in your low carb diet

4. Get fiber foods

5. Drink lots of water

6. Try variations and do not make dieting hard on you.

7. Do not be tricked into eating low carb diet "meal replacement bars, treats, ice cream" because they contain artificial sweeteners which are worst than sugar. They are chemically based. Watch out for terms like "impact carbs" and "net carbs" because my doctor says the ingredients still have to be scrutinized.

8. Exercise to tone your skin and muscles once you start losing all those flab. Besides, it can speed up your weight loss and will allow you to eat more.

For the past six months, my doctor kept telling me that not only did I look good but so were my vitals. My blood sugar and my blood pressure are all kept under normal and my skin now has that healthy glow. At 250 lbs. my doctor says I could still aim for 220-230, not any lower because of my height and my big bones.

I went around thrift shops buying new clothes, so I would not have to spend much for them. I plan to splurge on my first pay-check and stop there. Oh I forgot to mention, I went back to the office where that pretty receptionist is. Cynthia, the receptionist was totally floored when she saw me and she said I could always re-apply. She was sure the boss will not remember me because he never really went over my credentials. Sure enough, I got myself a job as a Junior analyst, not bad for starters. I aim to work my way up soon as I learn all the ropes. One of these days, I am going to ask Cynthia out and I hope she says yes.

The Secret of My 32 Pounds Weight Loss Success

by Marna Thall
(Denver, CO USA)

I was 12 years old when my mother was in a car accident, and I remember sitting at the kitchen table a few days after the car accident and her telling me, "My neck is a little tender. Well… I’m sure it’s nothing." From that moment, until I was 19, it wasn’t "nothing." Soon after the accident my mother was bed ridden. She was unable to move her neck and was suffering miserably. Due to her inability to move on a regular basis, I felt it was my duty to take care of my sister who at the time was just six years old.

I had always been an active and athletic child, but now I needed to be there for my mother, my father, and my little sister. I would come home after school and eat while doing laundry, cleaning, playing with my sister and working on my homework. Slowly, I began to gain more and more weight.

I decided at a size 12/14 and a year and a half later, that I needed to lose weight.

I was working out and was even employed at an athletic club, but no matter what diet plan or exercise program, I was unable to lose more then a few pounds. I thought I needed a more structured program and decided to give up the book and magazine diets. I began a popular structured weight loss program. I was excited and ready. My parents were incredibly supportive and they began taking me to meetings to get my weekly weigh-in.

During this time I was measuring food. I could eat only so many carbohydrates, fats, proteins, fruit and dairy products. I was able to eat as many vegetables as I liked, so I remember eating a ton of celery and salsa. I was in high school and I felt uncomfortable having to come home for lunch to measure food. How were all my skinny friends able to go to McDonalds, Taco Bell, and Wendy’s each and every day for lunch and stay thin, while I had to go home to measure and weigh my food? I became frustrated and quit this diet, still eager to lose weight.

I then became a vegetarian. I figured that now I would definitely be able to lose weight. I was wrong! I could still overeat as a vegetarian, and I did. For the next three years I must have tried 40 diets, diet pills, and random diet products all in hope to get down to a comfortable weight. I probably gained and lost the same 20 pounds eight times over. What was wrong with me?

I graduated from high school wearing a size 14, still on a mission to lose the weight. I knew I could! I just hadn’t found the right diet or the right workout regiment. I was still motivated to try anything that I could, and I continued to diet until I hit rock bottom. Boy am I glad I did, because what I would learn in the next years ahead, would change my life.

In college, I began researching various diets and exercise programs. I read psychological journals on weight management and health. I searched the Internet and spoke with doctors. I asked Professors, Doctors, Psychologists, Nutritionists and Kinesiologists about regarding permanent weight loss. I learned about food chemistry and how our bodies assimilate food. I asked and asked and asked, and guess what? For every person that I asked, I received a different answer. Literally, no two answers were the same. Some professionals said to eat mainly carbohydrates, some said protein, while others felt fruits and vegetables were the answer. They told me when to eat, what pills and/or supplements to take, when to take them and how to take them. It was crazy!!

One day in my dorm room in Boulder a group of naturally thin friends were talking about how they could eat whatever they wanted, and never gain weight. They didn’t understand the concept of dieting and had no idea about nutrition. The light immediately went on! Why had I been spending all this time and energy talking to overweight and compulsive dieters? I wanted to lose 35 pounds eating foods I loved too.

I began watching, talking and researching naturally thin individuals. In fact, I became obsessed with them. I knew that I could become an intuitive weight loss success story, and these magnificent people taught me everything I needed to know to be able to listen to my body to slim down naturally. I researched hundreds of these thin individuals on campus, in formal settings, in relaxed settings, downtown, in schools, groceries and in malls. I just had to know! I conducted market research and statistical analysis, all to see the differences between thin and overweight people.

I learned everything I could possibly learn about naturally thin individuals. I compared these secrets to the diets and the methods of losing weight that I had tried in the past. Once I began thinking like a naturally thin individual, I lost weight faster and more naturally then ever before. It was amazing! Sure enough, I listened to my body to slim down naturally - I began literally shrinking right before my eyes. I could hardly believe it and neither could my college friends. They (unnaturally thin college friends) couldn’t understand how I could be losing weight while eating everything I wanted. It was all about become intuitively aligned with my body. Once I began living and thinking like a thin person, the extra weight had to come off.

Currently, I am a size 6/8 and I have maintained this size for over twelve years. My own intuitive weight loss success is because I listened to my body to slim down. I am comfortable in the body that I live in, and I don’t binge, exercise compulsively, or diet. I learned that weight wasn’t the problem, for if it were, I would've lost weight once and would never have had to think about it again. Weight is the symptom to my boredom, my stress, my period, etc.

Everyone kept asking me what I was doing and when I showed them, they too began to lose weight fast. My weight loss tips really worked and so
I developed ThinWithin.com!! My clients have told me that they feel better emotionally and psychologically while losing weight naturally. My goal is to facilitate each individuals weight loss success so that they can free themselves from weight and food as an issue in their lives forever.

Exercise Weight Loss Method

by Gail Elery, Freelance Writer
(New Zealand)

Exercise weight loss method

Exercise weight loss method

There is a worldwide concern for the rising number of people who are considered as overweight and obese. Most major countries which include the U.S., UK, Canada, Eastern Europe, China, and Japan are greatly concerned about the rising statistics in obesity. How can this be dealt with from a natural weight loss exercise perspective ?

Canada has expressed more than alarm since previous surveys categorized a part of its population only as overweight; but later surveys disclosed that most of these overweight are now currently classified as obese. Accordingly, only 10 % showed improvement of being re-classified as normal weight from their previous overweight classification.

Since most obese individuals tend to suffer from certain health disorders due to their excessive weight, the need to lose weight should be addressed by natural weight loss methods.

Natural Weight Loss by Exercise

At the time when the issue about obesity epidemic was getting much attention, several diet programs gained popularity as a means of losing weight. However, the lack of permanent results, the debilitating effect and the high costs of keeping up with the regimen slowly eroded the popularity of these weight loss methods.

Studies were conducted and revealed that weight loss should deal more with the matter of speeding up metabolism or the process of burning calories instead of starving one's self. Hence, dieters' attentions became more focused on achieving weight loss by natural methods.

Natural weight loss methods require a person to provide his body with calories that can be burned. What is more important is the physical activity that the person will engage in, in order to burn these calories.

By global standards and as set forth by the World Health Organization, a person who has a body mass index or BMI of more than 30 is considered as obese. BMI is the person's weight divided by his height multiplied by the conversion rate and it will indicate the amount of body mass. A person who possesses a large number of body mass means part of his mass consists of fats and not only muscles. Hence, as a natural weight loss method, the individual is expected to engage in exercises that can speed up his metabolism through calorie burning.

Natural Weight Loss Methods and Exercising for Faster Metabolism

Exercise affects metabolism in different ways, hence it is recommended as the best natural weight loss method. A person burns calories even if he does not exercise, because his body needs fuel to carry on with its regular bodily functions. He needs to take in food to supply his body with nutrients and additional calories which will serve as his energy in performing his day to day routine in terms of bodily movement. Thus, a person who takes in food in small portions but exerts much physical activity, tend to gain less mass. His body often burns much of the calories stored as fat and may sometimes need to burn additional fuel that are stored in his muscles. If he engages in additional activity like exercises, he will need to take in more calories that he could burn. Otherwise, his metabolism will use up some of the fats found in his muscle in order to sustain his physical activities.

In the same way that a person like an athlete, who is aware that he has much physical activities lined up for the day, will take in substantial amount of energy-giving food to store as fuel supply for all of his planned activities. Hence, the muscles of a person will not be depleted, since he has enough calories to burn.

Conversely, a person who continuously supplies his body with food but goes on to live a sedentary lifestyle will keep most of his calories unburned and will be stored as fat cells waiting to be burned. The lack of exercise or even normal physical activities will not help in eliminating the stored calories. The more calories stored the more fatty substances accumulate
and the more mass of fats are present. Henceforth, the person becomes obese.

In adopting natural weight loss, obese persons will be required to start their daily exercises by setting goals of losing weight by as little as a half pound every week. As soon as the obese person's body becomes accustomed to physical activity, his natural weight loss goal may increase by as much as 2 pounds every week. During these periods, the obese person is expected to eat but only in small portions, several times during the day to allow for calories to be burned.

In addition, every individual is said to be burning calories even during his time of rest. A person, who had much activity during the day, will still undergo a fast rate of metabolism since a lot of his body cells which were in use during the day will demand replenishment, repair or regeneration. Hence, this is how metabolism is boosted and will make possible losing weight through natural means.

The obese person on the other hand, who does not engage in any physical activity, will take his sleep often with more disorder. He will breathe with difficulty, since his air passages will be crowded by large amounts of fat. Metabolism processes will continue only to sustain his life giving activities but not for reparation processes.

However, if the obese person will engage in exercises, there will be additional demand for calorie burning. Since he ate only a small portion of food before retiring to bed, calories to be burned will now include the stored fats of long ago. Thus, the obese person, will slowly meet his goal of losing from a half pound, to a gradual increase of two pounds; or even up to 10 pounds, depending on how well committed he is in exercising and eating the right kinds of food.

Burn the Fat

by Alain Knowles
(Sydney, Australia)

Burn the Fat Exercises

Burn the Fat Exercises

My scientific approach to burn the fat : According to fitness experts, the best way to lose body mass is to burn the fat. However, before we go about adopting this weight loss method, we should understand just what is meant by burning the fat.

The body is said to burn, carbohydrates, sugar and fat wherein all three are considered by our body as fuel. So if a person did not take in much of these which are needed to fuel his activities, then the body is forced to use those that are already stored in the muscles. Thus, the reason why some people are lean and seem to be without fats in their body. If we burn the fat by using most of our energy then we tend to lose more mass and weight in the process.

However, there are different methods recommended to us in order to burn the fat and it would be useful to know what exercise scientists think of them:

Weight training methods recommended by fitness experts are backed by scientific studies as to how the body functions when burning fat. Hence, it is explained that the more muscles there are in the body the more fats are burned. Although some contend that the results are not really as noteworthy, they believe that a matter of losing 10 calories per day can do well in maintaining body fitness without having to think about how much calories we eat.

What is important with weight lifting is the after burn that our body experiences. After burn is the process when our body continues to burn the fat even after exercising has stopped. Simply put, our metabolism or calorie burning process continues to work even while we are at rest. This aspect is said to be the factor that results to a slimming effect.

Lifting weights require us to exert more effort that uses up a lot of energy. This results to a short burst of demand for fuel. The after burn does the work of burning the fats after we are done with the weight lifting exercises. However, this particular concept is not fully supported by exercise scientists. For after burn to work, they maintain that, you have to cope with a lot of sustained exercises which not all people have the capacity to do so. What it means is that for weight lift and after burn to work, it should involve a lot of intense weight training.

Burn the fat by treadmill is pretty much the same way as when you burn the fat by weight training. Below is an analysis of how much calories you need to use and the equivalent fat it burns:

Treadmill walking for 30 minutes 180 cal. used -- 108 cal. fat burned
Treadmill running for 30 minutes 400 cal. used -- 120 cal. fat burned

Based on the above, it indicates that the body has to use up a lot of energy in order to burn a considerable amount of fat. To achieve this, the intensity and duration of the 30 minute exercise should be sustained in order to produce an after burn that will provide the additional fat burning effect when we rest.

Now let us take a look at running. If we run at the pace of 5 minutes per kilometer, it burns about 852 calories. Exercise experts have compared this to its equivalent in weight lifting and treadmill intensity and the number to compare is about 409 calories burned. Therefore, the disparity shows which type of exercise produces more benefits and with lesser intensity required. That is why most people feel more refreshed after a run if compared to the weight training and treadmill exercises. It is said that running as a form of sustainable aerobics, can use up twice as much calories when compared to the efforts you apply when lifting weights. The less time and intensity we use up calories, the more fats burned without feeling depleted or all used up.

To sum it all up, if you feel too strained doing 15 to 20 repetitions of weight lift exercises, you will be better off doing other exercises such as cycling, jogging, or rowing. Doing aerobic exercises can make you use more energy in an hour and thus burn the fat more.

Diet Pill Review

by Lou Sabattini - Office Administrator
(Chicago, Illinois)

A want to give you some self experienced diet pill review tips. I was a certified overweight; obese in fact because my Body Mass Index (BMI) was 40. I have tried exercising to burn all those extra fats I had stored all throughout the years but it was taking me quite long a time before I could get any significant results. I could not run around much because I get tired easily, hence, I could not burn much fat in the process. It was then that I asked my doctor if it would be alright if I took some diet pills.

It was a good thing I asked, instead of buying just any of those I read from some old magazines lying around the house. My doctor gave me three options, or three types of diet pills: the fat blocker, the appetite suppressant and the fat burner. He had no particular brand of diet pill to recommend but gave me the following guidelines in choosing the type of diet pill:

Diet Pill Tip 1 - Fat Blockers

This type of diet pill reduces fat by its enzyme contents that prevent the body from absorbing fats from food intakes. This will result to loose bowel movements or even diarrhea for some people. However, if not taken properly, it will result to gastrointestinal problems.

The fat blocker will allow you not to decrease your food intake but you should only take the low calorie and low fat meals. Otherwise, you will overwork your digestive system with the amount of unabsorbed fat it has to move out as bowel. In fact, you will note that your fecal waste will contain mostly oily spotting. Constantly moving your bowel is also uncomfortable because it can disrupt your daily activities. In addition, you have to take care that you do not get dehydrated.

It would also be important for you to take multivitamins, since the fat blocker diet pill will also be blocking other nutrients.

One example of this is the Alli diet pill. Its maker, GlaxoSmithKline, is very open about its side-effects; they are giving advice to the first time users to wear something dark or bring a change of clothes if you have to leave the house while taking this diet pill. If you are familiar with the prescription diet pill Xenical, this is its newly approved over-the-counter version.

Based on this information, this is definitely not the diet pill for me.

Diet Pill Review 2- Appetite
Suppressants

These are the types of diet pills that will give you the feeling of fullness, hence, you tend to lack any feelings of hunger and thirst. This will cause you to lose weight of course. However, it works by way of chemicals released in your bloodstream which gives your brain the message that you are full. Due to this, it has been noted to cause side effects by increasing the speed of your heartbeat. Hence, you will need a medical prescription for this type of diet pill. There are those that contain natural ingredients, and the most common and popular are those that contain the Hoodia herb said to be effective in suppressing your appetite. Still, caution should be exercised as to where you will buy your supply because fake Hoodia herbs have been in proliferation.

This was one of the options I was seriously considering because it is in a way, a natural weight loss diet pill.

Diet Pills Review 3- Fat Burners

This type of diet pill works by increasing the metabolism or fat burning process of your body. According to fitness experts, the metabolism of the body speeds up when it burns fats even as you sleep, which is actually the effects of exercise in your body.

Although this seemed ideal, the doctor gave advice about some fat burners that contain the herb Ephedra. This is said to affect the nervous system and can be fatal if a person who takes this has some other form of health disorder, common to us obese or overweight people. I myself have bouts of high blood pressure, thus, my doctor cautioned me about this type of diet pill.

As a suggestion, my doctor said I could try out the fat burner diet pill containing caralluma fimbriata herb extract. Based on studies, the caralluma plant was used in India as vegetable as well as famine food. It is safe for me because it has properties that can reduce blood sugar.

Obviously, I followed the recommendation and today my BMI has lowered down to 30. I do not go into too much diet control or have to exert myself in too much exercise just to lose weight. Today, I exercise more for toning my skin and muscle because of the weight I lost.

However, my advice to you is to consult your doctor before taking any of these diet pills. You may have certain health conditions to be taken into consideration before any form of diet pill, whether chemically or naturally based is introduced to your system. This is especially true if you are taking other medications, wherein the intake of another substance may either cause it to be ineffective or result to harmful side effects.
