Diet Pills Effects

I took diet pills to lose weight when I started hitting the 170 pounds in my weighing scale purely out of panic. I didn't bother asking my doctor about it since some of my friends seemed to have had some fairly good success with their recommendations. Naturally I tried the popular one at that time, Xenical, and I could say it worked but not without any undesirable effects, in fact embarrassing ones.

I lost about 2 pounds in one week but in that one week I also lost face from embarrassment. The diet pill worked by not absorbing the fat contents of my food intakes but I did not realize that it was something that could affect how I had to carry on with my daily activities. You see, the diet pill made me keep passing gas while at the office and everyone got their confirmation that the foul smell was coming from my cubicle because I was making a constant trip to the bathroom. It reduced me not in weight but in stature because some of my staff was actually snickering behind my back. So I stopped right on the first day, but the memory of my initial experience with the diet pill made me lose my appetite for a week, hence I lost two pounds.

It did not mean however that I stopped trying to lose weight altogether. I turned my attention to Atkins diet. The diet program was quite encouraging because it was more on about eating the right food and cutting down on calories. They have this list of acceptable foods and non-acceptable foods and all I had to do was cut down on the amount of my food intake and engage in some form of fat burning exercise and it will work.

I tried dieting as a form of natural weight loss method using the Atkins list of foods. When I was into phase 1, I found out that the idea is great only if you are not the one who is going through all the diet adjustments. You see, I had been used to eating hearty meals and it does not matter if I will be served with low calorie foods for as long as it will satiate my appetite, then I will feel good.

I could not pass the Atkins phase 1 diet because I could not stop myself into eating more than the required serving. I was good only for the 2nd day but on the third day all I could think of was food because I was feeling famished. So I thought since they are low in calories, there would be no harm in getting twice the serving suggestions. By the fourth day, I was eating thrice the suggested servings, albeit low calorie. Naturally, at the end of Phase 1, I barely tipped the targeted weight. In fact, I did not even manage to lose a full pound of weight.

Someone at the Atkins forum site suggested that I take a diet pill (again), this time the appetite suppressant type. I was told however to use the one with natural ingredients like Hoodia and specifically not Phentermine because the two diet pills although both appetite suppressants worked differently. I mulled over this for days and I was thinking it might work because I experienced losing my appetite for about a week when I took the diet pill Xenical and because it made me feel depressed.

So now what, do I have to get depressed just to lose weight? I heard the diet pills for suppressants worked on the brain and affected your cravings for food.

This time I asked my doctor for advice and he gave his go signal for Hoodia. I just had to make sure that I was buying the real thing and keep eating the real food. So for the Phase 1 of the Atkins diet, I tried it again but this time I took the Hoodia diet pills to suppress my appetite and it worked. I achieved 4-pound weight loss in the first week. But not without any problem though as I was feeling dizzy and a bit nauseous and I was alarmed that it was because of the diet pill.

Now I was really feeling desperate because it seems there are no available methods for me to lose weight. Nevertheless, I continued with the Phase II of the Atkins diet and tried to carry on with it even without the aid of the diet pill, since I suspected it of causing me all those dizzy spells. I managed to get on with the first day of Phase II by sticking to the portion size servings and without a diet pill to suppress my appetite. I was still feeling dizzy still so I consulted my doctor who approved of my stopping with the diet pill.

However when I posted this at the forum site, I was told that I was just experiencing the side effects of "Carb Withdrawal" My body was just adjusting to the changes I made with my diet. They told me that if I can manage to continue with the diet program without taking an anti-suppressant then it will be for the best. I struggled with the Phase II diet program by taking only the Hoodia diet pill once on the third day but I was able to lose another 2 pounds without depending on the diet pill. This of course made me feel good in spite of the occasional dizzy spells which eventually went away when I entered Phase III.

Needless to say the diet program worked with a little help from the diet pill. Actually it was quite hard at first because I struggled between taking a diet pill or not every time I had a strong craving for more food. But the though of experiencing possible side effects altogether seemed to naturally affect me into losing my appetite.

Natural weight loss method won over being reliant on diet pills and I kept my diet according to Atkins program. I developed a liking for outdoor activities because it made me feel light-hearted and made me lose weight faster. Now I am down to 110 pounds, wearing a size 12 dress and on my way to being promoted to the next grade level of my supervisory status at the call center I work for.

Diet pills work but not all of them will produce the right results. The natural diet pill Hoodia works without side effects but I managed to get the same effect of suppressing my appetite through sheer will power which was the only thing I lacked during the initial stages. I guess this story about my weight loss is about a combination of everything in order to make things work and not all those hype about a diet program or a diet pill effects.
